Guinea Hogs

GUINEA HOGS    

Guinea Hogs were originally thought to be from Africa.  They are known to be a forest/yard hog and are not a potbellied pig .  It was common to find them on homesteads across the Southeast. However, today they are very rare.  Recently, we have added one boar hog named Clyde (for breeding) and two barrows (fixed males)to our farm.  We will be adding our gilt (female) named Bonnie to our farm in February.  The two barrows will provide meat for our family in the fall of 2012.  It is our goal to sell them for meat and breeding purposes.  We will add more details in the future.
